The Apprentice, 9pm, BBC1
Watching the opening scenes of an Apprentice episode is oddly reminiscent of watching Casualty: you’re just waiting for something horrific to happen.
And true to form tonight, the task hasn’t even begun before there’s a big shock – one candidate leaves the competition!
The remaining hopefuls are at Liberty in London, trying to sell handbags and scarves, and running a personal shopper service.
There is plenty of relevant experience within the teams, especially regarding Sofiane, Frances and Jessica, while Grainne actually used to work at Liberty and Mukai knows all about luxury leather goods.
But as we have learnt, experience often counts for nothing…
Look out for some terrific exasperation from Claude, plus more scripted – sorry, completely spontaneous – one-liners from Lord Sugar.
The Fall, 9pm, BBC2
The Beeb are spoiling us this week with a double bill of the psychological thriller.
Tonight’s penultimate episode sees Stella (Gillian Anderson) and Spector end up in the interrogation room together once again, but it’s all really an appetiser for tomorrow night’s big finale, when the series’ simmering strands erupt in an orgy of violence.
You really won’t want to miss this…
New! Great British Bake Off: Class of 2015, 8pm, BBC1
A new winner may have been crowned last night, but last year’s champion Nadiya Hussain will always be a Bake Off legend.
In a nostalgic look back at 2015’s series, Nadiya and her fellow bakers return to the UK’s most famous tent to relive their own personal highs and lows.
Ah, the memories – we’ve sorely missed the old crowd.
New! Me And My Eating Disorder, 10pm, C5
The hard-hitting series in which people talk to camera about their problems continues with eating disorders.
The stories, from dark moments to recovery, are fascinating.
It’s especially good at covering the psychological side of these issues, particularly from people such as Ian, who developed anorexia after his grandmother died.
