SHAPE-shifting star Gillian Anderson transforms herself into Marilyn Monroe in her latest turn for TV series American Gods.

The actress, 48, wore a platinum blonde wig and parachute dress to recreate the iconic skirt-lifting movie scene in Sunday’s series two episode.

Titled Lemon Scented You, the latest instalment of the series also saw her assume the guise of the late singer David Bowie’s alter-ego Ziggy Stardust.

Gillian, who rose to fame as FBI agent Dana Scully on The X Files, plays the god Media, who morphs into a number of celebrities to try to appear human.

The series on Amazon Prime also stars Ricky Whittle and Emily Browning.
