TELEVISION stars were out in force to celebrate the 2017 TV Baftas on Sunday – bringing buckets of style to the red carpet.
Holly Willoughby led the fashion pack in a light coloured Roland Mouret design that screamed elegance as she sashayed down to London’s Royal Festival Hall.
The star looked dazzling in the strapless number – with added sparkle coming courtesy of jewels supplied by William & Son.
Holly praised her styling team for helping her get ready ahead of the big event – writing on Instagram: “Ready for tonight’s #bafta awards … good luck to all the nominees! Thank you to my very clever girls for getting me red carpet ready!”
However Holly was far from the only glamorous lady there.
Hollywood star and standout performer of recent BBC smash Line Of Duty Thandie Newton was the embodiment of sheer elegance in a stunning floor length frock at the event.
Thandie arrived in her strapless number with just a pair of earrings, a ring, and a clutch bag – while her natural beauty made her effortlessly stand out from the crowd.
Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson also stood out from the crowd in a sheer patterned dress with a plunging neckline.
The TV beauty had her red locks tied into an elaborate plait, while looser strands curled around around her face.
The star beamed as she arrived on the red carpet with natural make-up and holding a tiny clutch.
Gillian Anderson arrived to the awards in a light flowing floral print dress that was both sophisticated and sexy – with the sleeveless design offering a hope of summer despite a downpour of rain dampening the ceremony.
The X-Files legend was accessory free and had her hair tied back to show off her ageless appearance.
Gillian won extra points by rocking up to the event in crutches – and yet still managing to look incredibly elegant.
Explaining her mishap to DigitalSpy, Gillian revealed: “So, I fractured my foot jumping into a swimming pool that was too shallow in Costa Rica. It could have been a lot worse.”
Elswehere on the red carpet, early morning TV host Charlotte Hawkins stunned in a black lace number with a leg flashing thigh split.
The TV star shone in the number – and confessed to being “just a bit excited” to be attending the event via Instagram before she arrive.
British Victoria’s Secret model Leomie Anderson drew attention in one of the more provocative dresses of the night
Meanwhile British Victoria’s Secret model Leomie Anderson turned heads in a sleeveless, leg flashing dress that showcased her model figure.
While Leomie’s dress was certainly one of the more racy outfits of the night it is worthy of being highlighted for it’s almost pieced together design.
The star’s choice of outfit is almost like a variation of the iconic Elizabeth Hurley Versace designed safety pin dress – which also stole red carpet attention when worn to the 1994 Oscars.

Judith Light – one of the stars of Amazon’s award winning and 2017 TV Bafta nominated show, Transparent – also dazzled on the red carpet in a floor length red gown.
The choice of dress by the 68-year-old offered a hint of old school Hollywood glamour to the night’s proceedings.
Of course it wasn’t just women trying their best to look good on the red carpet – men were too.
Difficult to stand out due to the fact that men just arriving wearing variations of suits and tuxedos – two male stars definitely deserve to be singled out for acing the red carpet style.
Cuba Gooding Jr looked handsome and smart in a double breasted, deep blue suit – the double breast being on trend for men in 2017.
Meanwhile British actor Ed Westwick opted for a tie over a bow tie (an incredibly subtle hint to rebellious style) and looked smouldering in his deep navy suit.
